A unique Goan Resort Hotel, located at Dona Paula on the river Mandovi, a few minutes drive from Panaji, is built on a sloping site which descends down to the beach.
The Architect had used a linear multi-level configuration of guestrooms, echoing the image of a cluster of Goan Houses. The reception and public areas were located centrally, occupying the only broad and reasonably leveled patch. As a result, the landscape had to meander through the intimate courtyards dotting the linear placement of guestrooms with a promenade along the beach and the large pool deck. Groves of coconut palms firmly establish the link with the surrounding landscape. Colourful Bougainvilleas and Allamandas also remind you of the colonial past with Mediterranean flavour, which are also in harmony with the architectural character.
